Friends of “The Girls”

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring education around early breast cancer detection and overall breast health to every woman in the United States. We know this is a hefty goal and that is why we proudly partner with organizations that support women in all phases of their breast cancer journey.

We focus on early detection and overall breast health but we know that unfortunately 1 out of 8 women nationally will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. We partner with non-profit organizations and resource groups to help women in all phases of their breast health journey.

Polite Tumor

Our goal: Provide financial support for every person diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 40 in Colorado.

Why: So they can focus on what matters most – healing, however they define it.

Who we are: We are not your mother’s non-profit. We are unapologetic, honest and real. Our raw honesty brings levity to a life-changing situation and inspires others to join a community of support and fund personal choices for healing.

What we give: $5,000 grants with no strings attached.

The Boob Report

The Boob Report was founded by breast cancer survivor Michelle Hoglan as a way to communicate with friends and family about her breast cancer journey. The Boob Report is now a public Facebook Group where women can experience a “safe, comfortable place” to use as a resource to help them through their journey with breast cancer. Michelle created this community out of her experience with being a survivor and wanting to help other women after they hear the words that will forever change their life…”you have breast cancer”.
