Friends of “The Girls”

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring education around early breast cancer detection and overall breast health to every woman in the United States. We know this is a hefty goal and that is why we proudly partner with organizations that support women in all phases of their breast cancer journey.

We focus on early detection and overall breast health but we know that unfortunately 1 out of 8 women nationally will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. We partner with non-profit organizations and resource groups to help women in all phases of their breast health journey.

LifeSpark

LifeSpark believes that everyone going through cancer deserves peace and healing. Every day we offer free Reiki and Healing Touch sessions to individuals with cancer. Recipients report an average 48% decrease in pain, stress, and depression. The LifeSpark program is available from Colorado Springs to Ft Collins at partner locations including three hospitals and 14 Elements Massage studios. Khesed Wellness

Khesed Wellness believes everyone deserves access to a quality counselor at a rate they can afford, which is why they make counseling affordable for those without sufficient coverage. Through partnerships with people and places that donate part-time unused professional space, Khesed eliminates the main roadblocks to outpatient counseling and wellness care in Colorado, co-creating thriving communities through each site partnership. Khesed’s clinicians have a variety of unique specialties and areas of expertise, and its affordable counseling services are available at various site locations throughout the Denver area and surrounding cities. The Boob Report

The Boob Report was founded by breast cancer survivor Michelle Hoglan as a way to communicate with friends and family about her breast cancer journey. The Boob Report is now a public Facebook Group where women can experience a “safe, comfortable place” to use as a resource to help them through their journey with breast cancer. Michelle created this community out of her experience with being a survivor and wanting to help other women after they hear the words that will forever change their life…”you have breast cancer”. Request to join the Facebook Group here: www.facebook.com/groups/theboobreport/
